3. Top 10 Crypto & Macroeconomic News | Aug 25–31, 2025.

Crypto

  1. Bitcoin whipsaws: from a mid-August ATH near 124.5k to ~109k on Friday as hot inflation data hit rate-cut odds. About 1.8B in liquidations, mostly longs.

  2. ETH run: +33 percent YTD and a fresh high near 4,955. Big banks keep floating higher targets.

  3. Trump Media x Crypto.com: 6.4B partnership headlines. CRO jumped roughly 25 percent on the news.

  4. XRP case update: Second Circuit approval of dismissal lifted XRP about 10 percent in hours.

  5. Stable-coin base grows: aggregate supply around 283B while BTC dominance slipped to ~57.5 percent.

  6. Spot BTC ETFs: mixed picture. Eight straight daily outflow prints even as the week still showed +547M net.

  7. Meme bid: Pepeto presale raised ~6.5M, showing risk appetite in pockets.

  8. Solana buy: DeFi Development Corp picked up ~407k SOL around 189 each.

  9. NFTs are cool: weekly sales fell to ~129.6M, with Pudgy Penguins a bright spot at +63 percent.

  10. Bold calls: one shop sees BTC at 190k in Q3 2025 on liquidity, ETF demand, and retirement access.

Stocks

  1. Midday movers: Petco, Celsius, Affirm swung on earnings and data.

  2. DJT in focus: the Crypto.com tie-up kept Trump Media front and center.

  3. Tesla legal overhang: push to toss a $243M Autopilot verdict weighed on sentiment.

  4. Morgan Stanley list: five stocks flagged for September upside with an AI angle.

  5. Rails on deck: a technician sees breakout risk building.

  6. Oversold screen: three names highlighted as rebound candidates.

  7. Hut 8: +29 percent YTD and among the largest public BTC holders in the US.

  8. DuPont: asset sale improved the outlook.

  9. Home Depot: key deal approval buoyed tone.

  10. Robinhood: Q2 beat on crypto, options, and stock volume strength.

Macro

  1. Fed independence watch: Gov. Lisa Cook sued to block removal by the White House.

  2. Policy chatter: markets debated potential White House influence on the Fed.

  3. Hot PPI: July wholesale inflation dented the odds of a September cut.

  4. Jackson Hole: investors parsed speeches for policy clues.

  5. Tariffs: An appeals court ruled that most of the prior tariffs were illegal.

  6. AML spotlight: FinCEN said Chinese networks washed ~312B through US banks while crypto still draws heat.

  7. China and stablecoins: exploration of cross-border yuan rails picked up.

  8. Labor check: jobless claims stayed a key weekly print for rate odds.

  9. Liquidity lens: record global liquidity cited as a tailwind for risk.

  10. Diversity at the Fed: governance and representation debates intensified.

💬 Comment: Macro set the tone. Hot inflation and policy uncertainty kept risk choppy even as ETH strength and selective alt flows showed pockets of demand. For BTC, watch ETF flow direction and stable-coin growth to gauge whether dips stay well bid.

4. Current market situation.

Heatmap of Top 300 Coins (1w)
Heatmap of Top 300 Coins (1w)

📊 Market Heatmap Weekly Summary:

  • Breadth: risk-off. The board is mostly red with only a few green pockets.

  • BTC: 109k (-5.0%). Dominance softens as alts fall harder.

  • ETH: 4,469 (-6.4%) underperforms BTC.

  • Majors: XRP -11.9%, BNB -1.0%, SOL -1.2% (relative resilience).

  • Stablecoins: flat to slightly positive, consistent with de-risking.

  • Outliers: CRO +84% stands out on idiosyncratic flow. Smaller pockets of strength in a few mid-caps, but no broad follow-through.

💬 Comment:

This is a classic distribution day: sellers control both majors and alts while stablecoins hold steady. Until BTC reclaims the prior supply above 112k, rallies are likely to fade. Holding 108k–110k keeps the range intact. A clean break below opens room for a deeper liquidity test; a quick reclaim with improving breadth would set up a bounce.

🔎 What to watch next:

  • BTC reclaim of 112k with rising green breadth.

  • ETH relative strength vs BTC.

  • Whether today’s outliers keep gains or fade.

  • Spot and perp flow quality: do buyers step in or does seller pressure persist?

6. Weekly Insider Token Unlocks.

Zdjęcie

Weekly Token Unlocks | Sep 1–7 | $116.5M+

Key unlocks:

  • ENA Sep 3: $108.9, 2.60% of circulating.

  • SPEC Sep 4: $1.21M, 12.42% of circulating.

  • IOTA Sep 3: $1.71M, 0.22%.

  • HONEY Sep 3: $1.63M, 1.85%.

  • CETUS Sep 2: $0.80M, 1.00%.

  • HFT Sep 7: $0.67M, 1.34%.

  • DEVVE Sep 7: $0.37M, 0.95%.

  • STIK Sep 6: $1.23M shown, percent unclear on card.

Why it matters:

  • ENA is ~94% of weekly dollars and can cap rallies if risk is soft.

  • SPEC has the largest percent float add and can move on thin books.

Impact ranking:

  1. ENA 2) SPEC 3) HONEY 4) HFT 5) CETUS 6) IOTA 7) DEVVE 8) STIK.

Playbook:

  • Before: Fade weak bounces if funding climbs and spot CVD is negative.

  • Event day: Watch absorption on spot and perps.

  • After: Bullish if price reclaims pre-unlock level with green spot CVD and cooler funding.

Signals

  • ENA VWAP and pre-unlock high.

  • Funding and borrowing on ENA and SPEC.

Bottom line: This week is mostly ENA. Fast post-event reclaim signals digestion. If not, expect chop or another leg lower.
